H.E. Mr. Thomas Feller, Ambassador of the Confederation of Switzerland to Bulgaria has visited the Bulgarian Red Cross and expressed his support to the Preliminary Appeal of the International Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent Societies, seeking CHF 105.7 million to assist 60,000 beneficiary families in Haiti.
His Excellency joined the public fundraising campaign of the Bulgarian Red Cross to help saving people’s lives in the disaster-struck Haiti. Ambassador Feller mentioned that 21 January in Switzerland is the National collection day for victims of the devastating earthquake and first indication show that this initiative will be very successful. He is convinced that the Bulgarian people, authorities, civil society and businesses will show the same generosity in support of the cause. |
